“Thank you Nicola. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet but it was a great trip and Sam was awesome. Thank you for everything and I hope to use you again at some point in the future.”
“Our trip to St. Andrews was truly a dream come true—five years in the waiting, and absolutely worth it.
From our departure out of Ontario, California, everything went like clockwork. Our flight left on time, our layover in Atlanta was top-notch at Delta’s Admiral Club, and immigration at Edinburgh Airport was smooth. We arrived right on schedule. Andrew, our driver from Links Golf, picked us up, and our excursion began.
Our first stop was the St. Andrews Old Course Hotel, where a beautiful suite awaited Bruce and me, and a lovely room for Anthony. Each evening we enjoyed shortbread cookies with tea at turndown, and each morning we had an incredible breakfast buffet: fruit, pastries, yogurt, salmon and lox, smoked haddock, haggis (which Anthony liked best with an egg over a crumpet), plus omelets to order, Scottish porridge, mimosas, champagne, juices, coffee, cappuccino (my favorite), and of course, breakfast teas—which Bruce enjoyed daily.
While Bruce golfed at Carnoustie Golf Links, Anthony and I enjoyed the Olympic-sized pool and hot tub. We also attended a beautiful Mass at St. James Catholic Church, where the congregation was warm and welcoming.
After three days of golf, Bruce’s body was tired and aching. Andrew came to the rescue, arranging an appointment with a physiotherapist who helped him recover enough to complete his goal of playing four courses in Scotland—finishing strong at Kingsbarns Golf Links.
With Sophie’s help, we discovered some wonderful restaurants: The Grange Inn and Little Italy were favorites, with authentic, delicious food. The Peat Inn was unique, The Rogue served plentiful portions, and the Seafood Ristorante offered rich, melt-in-your-mouth cod and halibut.
Beyond the food and golf, what most struck Anthony was the human scale of St. Andrews itself. It’s easy walkability allowed him to repeatedly explore the Cathedral, Castle, and winding town streets. Everywhere we went in the Fife Council area, people were hospitable—often warm and genuinely caring. From the staff at Links Golf, who treated us like family, to the guides at tourist attractions, to the strangers met along quiet alleys, kindness seemed to be everywhere. On one walk with me, Sam appeared just at the right moment to lift our spirits, and at The Grange Inn the only thing that could have improved the beautiful view, meal, and service was if Anthony’s grandmother could have been there too. Even down to the final morning, we were cared for—Finn suggested the perfect spot in the airport to grab breakfast before our early flight.
Looking back, each of us summed it up in our own way: I said, “They took care of business.” Bruce said, “They take care of people.” And Anthony said, “They don’t hesitate to show how much they care—and that example is something the world needs more of.”
This was a trip we will always cherish. Our heartfelt thanks to Andrew, Sophie, Sam, and Finn for helping create such a beautiful memory.”
“The trip was incredible from start to finish, and everything ran seamlessly. I also want to mention how wonderful Iain was—he took such good care of us the entire time. He wasn’t just an excellent driver, he made everyone feel completely comfortable, and the ladies especially commented on how at ease he made them feel. All of us have nothing but good things to say about him, and he truly added to the whole experience of playing these world-class courses.
We’ve done other golf tours in Scotland and Ireland before, and I can honestly say none of them came close to the level of organization, communication, and attention to detail we experienced with Links Golf. Everything from the coordination with courses and hotels to the little touches along the way made a huge difference. It really stood out how much smoother and more enjoyable this trip was.
We’ll definitely be booking with Links Golf St Andrews again for our next adventure.”
“Aimee — Thanks for all your great assistance in setting up our trip. It was great to meet you, your Dad, Adam, and several others on your team. A few quick thoughts on some of the hotels & restaurants. Rusacks was very nice; we loved everything about it — the location, the view, the staff, and the restaurant on the top floor (18). Would definitely go back there. We loved Links House and everything about our stay in Dornoch. We ate dinner twice at Mara and it was great; the staff both at the restaurant and the hotel generally were friendly and accommodating. And we really enjoyed our dinner at Luigi as well; good casual vibe and great food. Gleneagles was very special as well. There’s so much to do (spa, etc.). We had a world class meal at Andrew Fairlie and the accommodations at Gleneagles were first rate. The Balmoral in Edinburgh was lovely. For me the highlight of the trip was the Tattoo. Not to be missed! Thanks again for everything.”

Sophie was extremely responsive when we were setting up the trip over a year in advance for us. We went through numerous itineraries with her until we made one that worked with our timeframe/budget and she was great through the whole process. Not only was golf reserved for us but we also had a list of restaurants to pick from and she handled all of the dining reservations as well. They are able to set up tee times at all of the top courses in Scotland and have the ability to book tee times for a single at the Old Course which was a huge plus. Fin coordinated the in person logistics once it was time for the trip. He made sure we got to and from the golf courses each day, picked us up from the hotel, and showed us around the town of St. Andrews upon arrival. He gave us great recommendations through the trip and couldn't have been nicer. Every time we got in the van to ride from one point to another it was spotless and had waters waiting for us. Shipping the clubs to and from their office in St. Andrews was also extremely easy. They arrived several days before I did and they were able to store them and took care of making sure they were picked up after I left. Overall it was a fantastic experience from start to finish and I will use Links Golf St. Andrews every time I travel to play in the UK.Posted on Google Core Health Nutrition & YogaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We worked with Links Golf St Andrews in our recent trip and the experience was phenomenal. What a great company. They were beyond helpful. Leanne was so responsive and Kyle was more than just our driver. We felt like family and were treated so well. Big shout out to their help when our golf clubs did not make it over. They took care of everything so that we could enjoy the first leg of our journey in Inverness. We ended up shipping our clubs home. I highly recommend having your clubs shipped both ways, especially if you are playing right away. We were lucky that our golf was scheduled a few days after our arrival. This experience was seriously top notch. Highly recommend this company.Posted on Google Mark HemmeterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a phenomenal week of playing golf in Scotland, all put together by Link's Golf Saint Andrews. They were fantastic and surpassed all of our expectations. Logistically, every step was perfect, and we owe all that to Nicola and her organizational expertise. During the week, a fantastic team took care of us. Mark, the owner, picked us up at the train. Jamie and Finlay drove us to the golf courses and all the way to Inverness. We laughed, told stories, had great food, and possibly a few drinks. They made it easy and fun, and I highly recommend using them if you go to Scotland or Ireland to play golf.Posted on Google Parks DanielTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Six of us (3 were golfers) had a fabulous week in St. Andrews due to the very competent, professional and friendly care provided by the staff of Links Golf. The men played 3 courses, the women shopped and toured the town, and we all visited the nearby fishing villages. Sam, Aimee and all the staff were so very nice to us. The pre-trip planning and communication by Debi was just what we needed to make this a special experience. Thank you all.Posted on Google S DTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently returned from International Week, my second trip with Links Golf.
