AIG Women’s Open 2024

After what was an exceptional few days here at AIG Women’s Open 2024 in St Andrews, some of the best battled it out in true links conditions. We would like to congratulate Lydia Ko as the winner of the AIG Women’s Open. What an incredible performance and achievement, rounding off an already excellent year as she triumphed in the Olympic Games, taking the gold medal.

Lydia was steady from the offset and consistent all week. Navigating a difficult final round as she rolled in the birdies, whilst those around her unfortunately started to fall back.

The Women’s Open 2024 was played on the historic Old Course right here in St Andrews, just round the corner from the Links Golf St Andrews office.

Experience the prestige of the Old Course for yourself…

We’d also like to extend our congratulations to Jenny Shin from South Korea, and her caddie Fraser Riddler, who we have had the pleasure of sponsoring this season. They battled all week and got to within just one stroke of the lead on Sunday. Jenny produced some phenomenal golf and we are delighted for Fraser on his return to St Andrews.

At our home in St Andrews we host our very own Golf Week. An incredible opportunity for golfers from all over the world to come together and play their way around St Andrews. Including the iconic old course and all the other courses St Andrews has to offer.

They are dressed in casual golf attire and the stone building behind them has a sign with the venue's name, as it prepares to host the AIG Women's Open 2024. Two hanging flower baskets are visible on the stone wall.

Following an exciting few weeks that have included The 152nd Open, as well as the AIG Women’s Open, we look forward to what is in store for next year…

Tain Golf Club

Situated to the south of Royal Dornoch, Tain is a heathland/links course with spectacular views. Designed originally by Old Tom Morris as a fifteen-hole course in 1890, it was extended to eighteen holes in 1894; eleven Morris holes are still in play today. This is an easy walking course with the river meandering through three of the holes. Always presented in beautiful condition, Tain is a good test of golf, with clever bunkering and natural water hazards. Tain is located 35 miles north of Inverness.
