TOURNAMENT ITINERARY

Casa De Campo

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas opened in La Romana, almost 50 years ago, as the first resort in the Dominican Republic. It has since established itself as a favourite destination of discerning travellers, who relish the private gated community for its safe and exclusive setting. At Casa you can expect luxury accommodations with an incredible array of activities and dining. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

Golf

Golf at Casa de Campo is like no other resort in the world. Enjoy 63 holes of incredibly diverse challenges and landscapes at one of the world’s leading destinations, all inspired by one of golfs most revered architects, Pete Dye.

Not only are Pete Dye and his family responsible for designing and building all three courses at Casa de Campo – The Links, Dye Fore & Teeth of the Dog – a few years after opening, Pete and wife Alice decided to make Casa their home. Each golf course represents a totally unique challenge and this is all credit to Dye’s creativity. Drawing inspiration from a trip to Scotland in 1963, in which he competed in The Amateur Championship at St Andrews, Pete Dye developed a remarkable perspective when it came to golf course architecture. He brought ideas to fruition as an integral part of the on-site team, shaping the design throughout construction as a course came to life.

Pete Dye is often credited as one of the most influential golf course architects of all time and this can be attributed to how thought-provoking his designs were, as he strived to ensure that even golf’s greatest players could struggle on his courses, and also his legacy, by inspiring the latest generation of golf course architects. You only have to look as far as some of the courses he designed – The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, Whistling Straits, TPC Sawgrass and Harbour Town amongst many more – along with incredible testimonies from fellow architects such as Bill Coore and Tom Doak.

The golf courses at Casa de Campo are brilliant examples of Dye’s genius and we look forward to providing Caribbean Golf Week participants with an opportunity to experience it for themselves.

Teeth of the Dog

Teeth of the Dog at Casa de Campo isn’t just a golf course, it’s an unforgettable experience. Designed by the legendary Pete Dye, this Caribbean masterpiece offers breathtaking oceanfront holes sculpted by nature itself. With seven stunning holes hugging the coastline and unpredictable sea breezes adding to the challenge, every round is both thrilling and rewarding.

Dye Fore

There are 27 holes that make up Dye Fore and its three nines – Chavon, Marina and Lagos – are distinct. Characterised by the most stunning views of the Dominican mountains, the Chavón River and the Marina; this cliff-side course is a delight for players of all levels. Throughout the Chavon 9 golfers are encouraged to consider risk versus reward, as expansive and undulated fairways narrow towards greens guarded by well-placed bunkers. For the Marina 9 a similar style continues, however instead of the Dominican mountains, the sky meets the sea for a glorious backdrop. During the newest 9, Lagos, five out of the nine holes have a body of water in play, whilst dangerous waste bunkers, sneaky ravines and rock-guarded greens require the greatest of consideration and attention.

The Links

Firm under foot and with a relatively flat layout, The Links perfectly showcases the artistry of Pete Dye’s genius in a more traditional fashion. Gracefully undulated fairways give way to challenging green complexes for a tricky finish to each hole. This shot maker 18 weaves through the beautiful resort grounds, with its holes lined by stunning lakes or wispy grass, with the occasional vista of the Caribbean Ocean. A host of strong Par 3’s are some of the golf courses most exceptional holes.

Dining

Get together after a day golfing under the Caribbean sun, at one of Casa de Campo’s many restaurants, to tell stories around the table and share a meal with your nearest and dearest. The wide selection of restaurants showcases brilliant cuisine from the Dominican Republic, as well as international offerings to ensure that no two meals are ever the same. The culinary journey at Casa de Campo will take you from Mexico & Peru, to France & Italy and beyond. Once the sun sets, experience Casa de Campo after dark with a wide variety of bars and lounges. From lively and loud to quiet and intimate, there’s something for every occasion.
